A little background - I live in Buffalo area..19 in a month. Psychology Major undergrad and planning on Grad school.. Work 2 jobs..both 8/hr with a total of 48-52 hours per week...1 at a grocery store as a stock clerk and 1 as a Researcher/Intern at a institute of one of the hospitals that is more geared toward my future and have been told they would like me to continue from a summer position to full time...

Single but soon to be in a relationship

I want to find a 3 bedroom apt. and have a pretty good idea of the two friends i would ask to join in...in the $700 a month range

What would be a good acceptable time in my life to make the biggest step in becoming an adult...I was thinking when i hold a job that pays around $15/hr so i have a stable means of income...with all other expenses (car, insurance, cell phone) is this a good plan? If is mirrors you did you make it out there, What was enough to survive, what was your salary/expenses? WHAT IS A GOOD AGE FOR SOMEONE TO MOVE OUT?

  1. WHAT IS A GOOD AGE FOR SOMEONE TO MOVE OUT?

If your parents don't mine, after you get your education. A stable home life is a great advantage when going to collage. It will pay off big time in your life time. You can still socialize/date. I would even give your parents a few bucks for room and board.

Living alone or with 2 buddies is costly. That 700/month does that include heat, water garbage power (heating and electric are sky rocketing lately). Plus food clothes washing a lot of little add up. What if one or both jobs end? !get your education man!!!! FIRST

  2. Money wise it's best to stay at home as long as you can. Personal wise is a different issue. I was going to move out at 23-24, but then I got engaged and stayed there till I got married. Try to stay home as long as you can.

  3. I'm 19. I already have my own place.

In Asian countries it is sometimes socially acceptable for a family to stick together forever. Same for Hispanic countries.

Dunno, dude. Depends on how much you conform to social conventions.
