I'm looking for a new tv around 32". I'm confused on all the new tv lingo though. I know I should get an HDTV but then we get into the plasma, LCD, 720p, 1080p stuff and I get really lost. Also what would be the best brand to get? Right now I'm looking at a Samsung 32" LCD 720p.

  1. The higher the resolution, the better quality picture you get. You should surely get HDTV compatibility because that is where the industry is leading. It will not be more then 4-5 years before HDTV becomes the standard. One thing that you also have to remember is you get what you pay for, so if a deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Most people get a TV just to watch TV, so if you are one of those folks, then you do not need all the fancy stuff that comes with most high end TV’s.

I would thorugh in a few more hundered dollars to get a 1080p because it is worth the money for the huge difference in picture quality.

With a all that said, Samsung has a pretty good rep in the industry and at 32 inches for $700 is a fair deal.

    Good Luck..
