  1. i always listen to some music through my ipod, but not music like paramore, more like ne-yo, and that calm :D

    x

  2. my teacher told me once that the best studying environment is what you deem as the best place to study.

for example, some people study the best in an air-conditioned room with a nice cup of coffeee

  3. Before you start, allocate a set time and write a list of objectives, or things you would like to get through. Set a time for each of these tasks, or how long you would like to spend on them

When you finish one, tick it off, it will feel like you're achieving something and is so satisfying!

Bring plenty of water, and little healthy snacks to your desk to avoid temptation of distractions, kidding yourself that you're hungry.

Take breaks every hour or so for about 5 mins for a stretch and do something completely different to work.

Find out the time that you work best - could be morning, evening, or somewhere in between. Set this time aside to do some work every day.

Work with others, can help to increase your concentration and generally get more ideas, the work will make a lot more sense!

  4. its all depend on da thoughts creeping up in ur mind!!!!

as many graps with da lecture n few have to just carry it own.....

  5. To motivate yourself to study, try studying in smaller chunks of time.  (ie. one hour, then a break, another hour).  Try to study at the same time of the day, because then you except it (I know this is hard to do with a university schedule, especially if you are communting to school).  Reward yourself for studying (after I finish two chapters of psychology - I  can go out with my friends or take a longer break (1/2 hour or so)).  The reward can be anything (ie. checking your email, going for a short walk, talking to a friend, having a snack, going out, sleeping etc.)   Make sure you eat regular meals to keep your energy up.  Gear up to your studying time .. play loud, fast music to get your energy up.

To concentrate when you study, you need to find out what distracts you (usually tv, computer or people).  Once you find out what that is, you can try and minimize the number of distractions.  One of my profs told me that studying for 50 minutes and than taking a 10 minute break normally made the person concentrate more (that isn't to say if you are on a role, take a break).  Take a break ... studying is physically and emotionally tiring, so breaks are super important.  Just make sure that you have a time limit on your break.

Making yourself study and concentrate can be really hard, so find a method that works for you (my best study time is usually around midnight or 10 am).

  6. sit on terrace in fresh air and think this must be done..then forget everything else and immerse yourself in studies...it really works..

try & tell me..mail me for sure..:)

  7. yeah i need to concentrate too aye. but um once youv'd crammed everything in to make a assignment on time u don't wanna do that again so don't procrastinate. i find it easy to do a little bit then a little bit then a little bit more because then i don't have to rush everything to get it in on time.

if u been studying for ages or get stuck take a break, listen to music or whatever is relaxing to you, then get back to it. that's what i do.

  8. i often find myself so unmotivated before studying! but when it comes down to it, there are so many ways to maintain focus.

Some people find it easier to study with music in the background, some cant do that at all! I like to play Mozart(as lame as it sounds it works for me) because its supposed to induce a calm, alpha state.

Trying to get into studying is the worst, naturally im really messy, but i find it helps when i get organized and know exactly what im studying, after breaking work down into manageable pieces, im more inclined to work. Self-control and positivity are the best ways to start.

    Good Luck!

  9. ..

  10. just do it

  11. I listen to music, because it blocks out all of the other noise surrounding me. Preferably on my ipod, and i sit in a comfy place, with

very little people. Also i find eating something surgary before i start helps.

  12. Play the band 'My Dying Bride' quietly, and then work.

they are a doom metal band, its quite depressive.

but it seriously gets you working really well, trust me!
