Question:

The best way to transfer a t-shirt design?

I bought my mom a tank top with a really cool design but it's too small and I can't return it. She loves it and wishes she could wear it. Does anyone know a good way to cut the design out and move it to another shirt? I can't think of anything.

  1. Wow, that's a tough one.  There is a possibility that you could recreate the design using photoshop or the free GIMP.org and have it placed on anything you want on sites like zazzle.com and Cafepress.com.  It can be done, if your willing to take the time to do so.  I am sure there could be another way to do it though.

  2. Use Lazertran, take picture of your design and print on special Lazertran paper. They have special transfer paper for heavy cloth, light cloth, and silk material.  I think you just dip in water, peel, paste on, and secure by ironing or special bonding agent.

Or you could use other type of transfer paper you can find at hobby or craft store.

  3. if you can cut it out and sew it onto a new shirt, i have done this!   it looks kinda neat and gives it some texture and dimension.  good luck =)
