The big switch,dtv converter box.?

So i bought the converter box..

and i only get 4 channels on just analog..

Will i get more channels once i hook up the converter box?

How many channels?

What major ones would i most likely receive?

  1. There's a decent chance you'll get those same four channels.

    Getting more depends on whether those channels multicast on their frequency.

    Go to antennaweb.org to see what stations you can get at your location. Then go to titantv.com, plug in your zip code, and see what those stations broadcast on digital.


  2. I think the metropolitan areas have all changed.  It's the lesser known cities that are not going to switch over until February 17.

    Just make sure that your TV is on channel 3.  Then you need to make sure your converter box is blue. At least it has to be blue on a zenith to receive digital stations.  Once that is done, you should have digital stations.  Check http://www.antennaweb.org to see what stations are being offered in analog and digital.  You can tell it to show analog stations only and digital stations only.
