  1. Your computer crashed.  A kernel is the central component of your computer's operating system.  There are a zillion reasons why a computer would crash.

*The most common cause for a computer to crash is registry errors. Every time you install or uninstall a new program, your registry entries in your registry are changed, and may not be restored to their original settings. Over time, the errors in the computer registry become overwhelming.

You can clean the registry for free by downloading CCleaner:

There are other possible reasons, too.  Among them, running two anti-virus programs or two firewalls at once.  For instance, if you're running a third-party firewall, make sure you turn off the Windows Firewall (I'm assuming you have Windows).  You can always enable it again if for whatever reason you need to.

  2. Its just Microsoft Windows crashing. It does it all the time.

  3. that happened with my pc except instead of kernal it said ther ws a critical error with windows or my pc or something and i just ignored it and restarted. it also said if it happened again to contact the manufacturer about it or something....its happened 3 more times since then but not recently.

  4. It's Microsoft crashing...
