It was about 8 months ago and after I went out they said I was "too drunk" to go back in even though I hadn't had too much at all, all my friends were in there and I was a tiny 18 year old girl! So 1. will the same bouncers still be there?

2. Will they recognise me and get physically violent with me again?

  1. Maybe you should wait about 28 months or until your 21st b-day.

  2. They probably won't recognize you, I mean c'mon that was 8 months ago. They get hundreds of people there everday.

  3. Having worked as a bouncer, I'd say go back.  Unless you caused damage and were somehow barred from the establishment, go back.

I'm unfamiliar with Australian protocols, but typically, we'd try to escort someone out, only physically removing someone if they refused.

So go back, be cool, and obviously watch your behaviour this time.

It's entirely possible the bar has had some turnover in the bouncer area.

  4. Typically, the owner would have to ban you from the bar for it to leave a lasting impression.  You could have returned the next night in a more sober state of mind and they would have let you in.  But after 8 months, if you are in a big city most of the bouncers will have moved on to different places and if they haven't it's doubtful they would remember you.

  5. well, it was 8 months ago...

so, the chances of those bouncers still working there and being there the night you go back are small.

second, they probably deal with about 3 beligerent people a night, so chances are slim to none that they would remember you....

and even if they did, by some chance, remember you, as long as you aren't drunk, they probably wouldn't say anything...

So, i think you will be fine if you were to go back to this bar...

  6. 1- If it's a nice club the bouncers might still work there. It's a high turnover job, so if it's your average bar they'll probably have moved on.

2- They either won't recognize you or won't care. People get tossed all the time, as long as you don't turn into a drunk again they aren't going to bother you.

Most bouncers don't have the time or energy to pick on people personally. It's a job, keep the people inside from being hassled by the drunk people who get thrown out. Happy guests buy alcohol, annoyed guests leave. That's their only motivation

So you "not having too much at all" means one of the following:

    - you turn into a loud, annoying person after only a few

    - one of your friends managed to be SO loud to get the bouncer's attention.

    - you or one of your friends pissed off a bartender or manager

    - Or you had a ton, got loud and annoying and got tossed and don't remember or refuse to fess up.

Whatever the case, drink less and be nicer to the employees.
