The brakes are locking up on an 84' corvette. What can this be?

When the brakes lock up the only way to release them is to open up the bleeder valve.

  1. One cause of this could be the brake caliper. The piston in the caliper should release, but it isn't. It could also be the master cylinder or the brake booster.
