  1. HAVE THE WIRES CHECKED AGAIN. IF THE WIRE IS CLEAN AND TIGHT AND THE BREAKER DOES NOT TRIP FOR 2-3 SECONDS AFTER THE UNIT TRYS TO START. A HARD START CAPICATOR MY HELP YOU OUT.CALL A CONTRACTOR . TRY THE HARD STARD BEFOR REPLACING THE UNIT. $25 VS.$1200 +

  2. sounds like your compressor is drawing to much amprage this usally occurs right before they go out have a/c or electrition check it out

  3. If your breaker is in the direct sun, put some shade on it and try to lessen the load on the circuit. The breaker may need to be replaced since they are not designed to be tripped repeatedly. When it is replaced be certain it is one desigated for HVAC .  Breakers are heat trip devices and you are at the upper range of the design limit for them.

  4. You have problems there that are going to need professional diagnosis to find out what the cause is.

Was it an A/C technician or an electrician that replaced the wiring?

Make sure your using an experienced repair person or they may not find the problem, only the result of the problem.

For wiring to be burned out you must have some problem there that's causing it.
