The buttons on my blackberry wont work?

Question

this morning i woke up and i couldnt press any buttons at all

i mean i could press them, but nothing would happen on my phone

i could do the track ball, it would move up and down but i couldnt click the track ball and none of the letters or anything would press

not even the call/end button or the app button

i took the battery out a few times and put it back in and that did nothing

AND IT DIDNT GET WET

i know for a fact it didnt get wet. so thats not it.

i have only had it for less than 2 months, so its fairly new

but anyway, i left it on while i was at work and 3 hours later when i go on my break, it was working.

but the buttons were still not working fully

i could click and stuff and make calls

but when i text and use the key pad letters

i have to press a lot of them 2 times cause a lof of letters dont work

they do when i press them again, but not the first time

its weird

i mean its not like broken but the keys arent working

does anyone have an idea what is it?

i dont think its that it needs to be cleaned and its not wet

shpould i take it into the cingular store?

Call your carrier or visit a store and ask for a replacement, carriers offer warranty for a year since day of activation.

Definetly take it back to the store from where you bought it. I've had a blackberry for less than two months now, so I'm hoping it isn't a "blanket" defect with the blackberry model.
