Can someone please tell me this? I am exhausted right now, I'm only 20 & just finished summer school? My mother & grandmother have low iron levels & I was tested for anemia once...Do I have low iron blood counts because I also tried to give blood several times & they said I couldn't do it? Why do I have low iron? Is it genetic? I'm taking Slow FE iron supplements but I'm still exhausted? I think I also may be PMSing so that may be a contributed factor? Thanks so much for your help.

  2. Menstration in women, if you do not eat meat it is important to learn what vegetarian foods offer iron. Lentils and black strap molasses are good sources but hemi iron found in red meats delivers enough iron to fortify red blood cells so they can deliver more oxygen to the body.

  3. Not all anemia is because of iron deficiency.
