The cause of my hypertension is stress, how can I avoid stress?

  1. Meditate and don't let things bother you so much.  If you are stressed out enough to cause hypertension, then something has to be causing the high amount of stress.  Normally, it is someone's job.  The good news is, if your hypertension is caused by stress, at least it's not caused by a medical condition beyond your control.  You can fix this... but you need to do it soon or the doctor is going to threaten to put you on pills to treat it.  Take things in stride, don't sweat the little things so much... and live by this motto...

    "It is what it is... so be it."  Focus on the things you can control, not what you can't.  Things will be much less stressful.


  2. My dad would just disappear, in other words remove yourself from the situation

    it is hard though, I am on two meds to help with mine

    just don't sweat the small stuff, all the best
