The chances of Korea/being deployed with this MOS?

My husband is 21W Carpentry and Masonry Specialist... And I was wondering, what are the chances of him going to Korea... When in reception he was asked one place in the states and 3 overseas, his choices were California, then Alaska, Hawaii and then Germany. I'm just wondering what are the chances of him being sent to Korea for his first permanent duty station with his MOS and not requesting?

Also.. Do many people with this MOS have the chance of being deployed?

Greenman is correct. Although yours husbands desires will be taken into consideration, the needs of the Army outweighs them. And anywhere there is military construction, the engineer unit will be there too. They are rebuilding alot in Iraq now, but alot of that may be done by contractors. Alot of the stuff Army engineers make is battlefield temporary also, so he COULD go anywhere.

Yes, he is eligible to go to Korea. He is also just a likely to deploy as everyone else in the Army.  Although he has stated his preferences in his ASK, it still comes down to the "Needs of the Army." Wherever there are Engineer units, he is eligible to go.
