Country towns in Australia have cheaper rental housing than the city areas. The dearest cities are Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.

In my country town area in South Australia the average rental is $A175 a week for a 3 bedroom house. 1 bedroom flats cost about $A130

Australia doesn't have villages either. There is city areas and rural areas in each state.
