  1. Hello again,

    It is the "Roissy Bus".

It is around 8,50 euros for a single ticket to Opera.

  2. Take the train (RER).  RER line B goes right into the City Center.  I don't recall how much it was, but it's not expensive at all.  Warning:  When you ride the RER keep you ticket with you, you need it to get in and out of the gates at the station.  Also, once you use the RER, you can use the same ticket to connect to any Metro line with it for upto a half hour after leaving the RER.

  3. Walk, it's free.

  4. A good thing you should know is that the full name of Charles De Gaulle Airport is actually: Paris Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport.

Many visitors get confused as most of all the signs in France refer to the airport as Roissy, including directional signs on the freeway!

The most convenient and economical way to get to Paris to and from CDG Airport is by bus (I use it all the time as a local).

The bus you want is: Roissybus (Paris - Opéra / Charles de Gaulle airport

Which leave from gates 1, 2 and 3 at the airport (look for signs ROISSYBUS – Opera Paris)

ROISSYBUS is a special bus service that links the Charles de Gaulle airport and "Opera" in Paris, which is a very convenient  centrally located area in Paris to get to and from the Airport.

    Travel time :

    Between 45 and 60 minutes

Timetable valid from Monday to Sunday

Bus drops you and takes you back to airport from:

Opera (at the angle of rue Scribe and rue Auber). In front of and across the street from the American Express building.

Bus intervals (to and from the airport):

    Every 15 minutes between 6 a.m. - 7 p.m. and 20 minutes

    Between 7 p.m. - 11 p.m.

It costs 8.50 Euro each way (equivalent to about 9 dollars)

The bus drops you off 100 meters (110 yards) from a main Metro station named OPERA, and from there you can pretty much get anywhere in Paris with a 2 Euro 50 cents metro ticket.

OPERA metro is the yellow line #1.  Have a look at the metro map (link below) to determine your final destination.

This is truly the most convenient and economical way.

    Have a great trip.

    Kind regards, Wendy

  5. If you are not in a hurry, the cheapest way is to take the bus number 350 at terminal 1 to "gare de l'Est". It will coast 1,40€ for a single ticket. If you are planning on staying in Paris, you might want to by a "carnet" (10 tickets) for the price of 10,90€. There is a bus every 15minutes or so, and the ride will take about an hour, for it is a regular city bus that stops everywehere along the way!

  6. Take the train. The regional rapid-link trains provided by national rail carrier SNCF are called 'RER'. You might need to take a courtesy bus from your terminal to the train station. There is a train every 15 min at off-peak times (9 at peaktimes). Going to central Paris takes roughly 35 min. I can recommend to you to hop on one of the trains which do not stop everywhere. About every 2nd train departing from CDG will go without any stop to Gare du Nord station.

The price for a single trip from the airport to any destination within central Paris is about 8 Euro.

  7. take the train. it's the cheapest and efficient way to get around paris as well.

the train station is in the airport. it's about a 20 min ride into paris (gard du nord). it's also a good way to see the scenery (though you'll see some grafitti, etc).

i love taking the train in paris - so convenient!
