  1. if:

    2H2S+3O2--.2SO2+2H2O

    SO2+2H2S-->3S+2H2O

    then:

    2H2S+3O2--.2SO2+2H2O

    2SO2+4H2S-->6S+3H2O

    & 3 O2 --> 2 SO2 --> 6 S

    or 1 mole of O2 produces 2 moles of sulfur

    ? grams S = 48 g O2 @ (2 mol) (32g/mol)Sulfur / (1mol)(32g/mol) O2 =

    your answer is 96 grams of sulfur
