    with time server.

  7. XP and Vista check your computer's time versus several Atomic Clock sites daily.  XP and Vista also reset your time to match this time every day.

The real question is... why isn't your clock being fixed daily by the safeguards automatically in place?

I don't know what OS you are using, but if you are using XP, double click on your clock in the bottom right, and hit the tab for internet time.  You can tell it to update manually.  If it isn't connecting to the server listed, change it from the pull down, or look up another server on google and type it in manually.

There are numerous reasons why your internal clock is going fast/slow... and none of them bad.  It could be voltage.  It could be your processor running a few ticks fast or slow.  This problem is not a problem, and is considered to be within normal operating parameters.
