The closest city to Mountain Shasta in California??

I f you could also give me a good map that makes me see where in California si the city and where in the city is Mount Shasta!!

I would be very Grateful!!

Mt Shasta and Weed are two of the closest towns,

Mc Cloud is to the South East.

I don't know if you'll be able to see the Yahoo! Maps link.

But just go to a Map site and enter in Mt Shasta.  If it takes you to a town, zoom out and you'll see the volcano to the North East.

largest city anywhere closeby is redding CA. But the town of Mt Shasta is more or less at the base of the mountain. It would be totally inaccurate to say that the mountain is IN a city. more like, the town is near the mountain. A really wonderful experience to go there! You can now search for your own map. Or write to the Mt Shasta Chamber of Commerce.
