The coaches’ say about the 2010 FIVB Club World Championship in Doha, Qatar
“Alea iacta est,” said the Caesar to state that everything is ready for start for the 2010 FIVB Club World Championship in Doha, Qatar. The arrangements have been completed and the city of Doha is set to host the colourful event of Club World Championship.
In this edition of the tournament, 14 teams (men & women) will demonstrate their skills in the court. This is the high time for coaches to come up with the right strategies for better performance of their teams. Quite recently, the coaches held press conference
at the Ramada Plaza hotel and talked about their prospects in the Club World Championship.
Al-Arabi Doha- Qatar
The home team is headed by Algerian born mentor, Adel Mohmed. The head coach has spent enough time to prepare his team for this big competition at home soil. He is determined that the team will save country’s reputation and will perform better. He said that
most of his players have exhibited their talent at the Asian Games in Guangzhou China and they will shine at the Club World Championship as well. The Team Al-Arabi has undergone extensive training for the last 15 days. The coach is optimistic to grab success
at the home campaign.
PGE Skra Belchatow- Poland
Jacekk Nawrocki is the head coach of Polish Men’s Volleyball Club, PGE Skra Belchatow. Poland’s team recently proved their endeavour at the CEV Champions League and dug up success. Besides the team have had great achievements at home series during the running
season. However, the head coach expressed his views that the good stats in previous matches are not the guarantee of success at Club World Championship. The Poles have to play with new ambition and dedication in Doha. PGE Skra Belchatow is last year’s runner
up team at the Club World Championship and they will definitely try to get to the top position this year.
Kenya Prisons- Kenya
The African Women’s Club Kenya Prison is supervised by David Lungao who has high hopes to catch the limelight at the Women’s Club World Championship. The coach, Lungao has assembled a team of young players but he has a lot of faith in his players. The coach
said that they will be playing at the Club World Championship to gain more experience and skill while playing against tough contenders. Any set won will be a bonus for the team. Moreover, he said that it is great honour for them to represent African Confederation
at international level. The team will try their best to bring a good name to Africa.
Dream Bolivar- Argentina
Dream Bolivar, the Argentinean Men’s Volleyball Club is representing South America in the Club World Championship. Javier Weber is attached with the team as head coach. The head coach Javier said, “We are honoured to be part of this competition. I have a
young team but most of my players are included in the Argentinean national team whose progresses have been evident in the past few years, so we are here to test our ambitions and go for a good campaign.”
Paul Mitchell – USA
Paul Mitchell is the Men’s Volleyball Club, which is headed by the coach Gary Sato. The American team will be playing at the Club World Championship representing NORCECA. The coach said that it was a big honour for them to get a chance to compete at the
Club World Championship. He said, “We are extremely pleased to be here, my team is young but nevertheless we’ll be giving our best on court.”
Mirador- Dominican Republic
The head coach of Dominican Republic’s Women’s Club Mirador, Marcos Kwiek said: “It is a real honor to be here and compete at the Club World Championships after 16 years have passed since the last edition. We’ll do our best to represent our Confederation
here.”
