  1. 1. Mass

    2. Temperature

    3. Chemical composition

    4. Lifetime

  2. Its age, its composition, its proper motion, its classification, temperature, and if looked at through a spectrometer it gives its actual constituents. it's distance from us, its age and whether or not it is the remnant of a supernova explosion, or in the throes of death, such as a red giant. Blue stars are young and hot. White stars are older. Yellow stars like our sun are middle aged. Black holes are massive stars that have imploded, and are detected by other than visual means.

  3. the radiation/temperature of the star

    white= hottest, most energy

    red= coolest, least energy

  4. the gases it composed of, the tempature of the star, the distance of the star from earth, age

  5. Its temperature.  Red is cool, orange warmer, yellow warmer yet, white is hot, blue is hottest.

    And it can also tell us its mass - for example, a yellow star will not be as massive as a blue star.

  6. The color

  7. composition, stage in its life, current fuel makeup.

  8. Aside from what everyone else has said, it can determine the rate at which it is travelling away from (or towards) us.

  9. The temperature and what it's made of.
