The colour blue, runes and candles....?

Question

so i have this necklace covered in runes which is supposed to keep me safe and my friend said that the colour blue is supposed to be good for you and she has a necklace with a blue stone on it.

I was wondering what other things there are that i can do, things i can buy or things that you have personally done/bought/have which are similar to this. Good luck charms, cards, candles with prayers on them, things to hang on your wall, things to keep in your pocket etc.

Is it just a futhark (alphabet) or is a script, possibly made up of the so called ALU runes?

Its fairly common for runes to be "empowered" by rubbing tiver in to them (red Ochre + pine resins I think) You can obtain a blue tiver (think it's woad) but this less common, and tends to be used by female rune-workers (think it's something to do with Frigg who seems to have been Odin's magical partner)

Depends very much on the colour of blue: While it can represent the sea, and sky, some shades of blue can be thought of being the colour of slate, and death.

Ideas as to charms you can make. If you take a stick of about the width of your thumb (probably best if from the ground, rather than a living branch) it's fairly easy to slice it into discs using a hacksaw. Drill a small hole in the disc so you can hang it, and sand it smooth. you can then carve symbols onto the disc. Perhaps use ALE runes ,bind-runes (combinations of runes) or cypher runes to express what you're wanting. You can tiver if you want, and you don't need to varnish the disc.

Remember if you carve/empower the symbols yourself, YOU determine the meaning of the charm.

Be a little careful if like many you are attracted to the bind-rune formed by Gifu(a kiss shape) and Wyn (looks like a P) A literal translation can mean the gift of the Goddess, which has VERY different meanings when worn by the different sexes!

blue means spirituality , it cleanses and renews it. if you are  looking to change yourself etc ..blue will help your spirit. candles .. blue and best thing is to carve yor own beliefs and prayers. pointed quartz to carry everywhere is the best
