The colour of the eyes?!?

Do the colour of your eyes get brighter as you get older. I have really dark brown eyes and was wondering will they get lighter. My dad had heavy brown eyes when he was younger and now they seem to be a little lighter. Same with other colour eyes, am just using brown for example. danke :D

Some people's eyes become lighter or change color slightly the older they get.  My husband was born with brown eyes and now they're a dark green.  My daughter was born with dark brown eyes and, now in her teens, her eyes are light brown with flecks of green and gold - very beautiful.  Mine have always been light green with a darker green around the iris.
