The colour red??

why does the colour red attract our eyes so much && what does it mean what does it make us feel when we see it even with out noticing its there

eg. red lighting in the background of a sceen in a movie ?

its supposed to make you angry, but attract your attention and its rather rude i suppose when you use font colour red in emails also means smth weird like passion... and its the colour of blood when you think of blood hows that make you feel? violence maybe? in advertisements, usually to attract attention.

it has one of the longest wavelengths that the human eye can pick up, mking it stick out more then the rest. The clearest frquencie for us.

red color has highest wavelength amongest all the colors in the visible range. it forms a perfect image at our retina and therefore attracts the most attention.....thats why all danger or stop signs are red so that they have maximum visibility...
