The cost of manufacture of an article comprises of Labour, Material and Overheads in the ratio 4:3:2. ?

If the cost of labour is Rs 45, what's the cost of article?

if it is 45 total cost is 45*9/4 = 405/4= Rs 101.25

If labour is 45 then just use the ratio provide for the others

material = 3/4* 45

Overheads = 2/4 * 45

Then just sum the three coponents

labour = 4A

material = 3A

overheads = 2A

total = 4A+3A+2A = 9A

to find A use labour = 45 = 4A and so A = 45/4 = 11.25

Costs are

Labour = 4 x 11.25 = 45

Material = 3 x 11.25 = 33.75

overheads = 2 x 11.25 = 22.5

Total = 9A = 9 x 11.25 = 101.25
