My American friends are all moaning about the cost of fuel and i really cant understand why. In England we pay around $11 a gallon (being that a dollar is worth around 55p [100p makes one pound] and that there is roughly 4.2 litres in a gallon) making us the most expensive place for fuel anywhere in the world.

How much does fuel cost in your country?

  1. In Las Vegas Nevada  regular gas is currently approx. 4.30 per gallon. Mid grade fuel and Premium is more expensive and Diesel is 5.01 per gallon.

Remember as well our dollar is pretty weak right now...

Euro 1.57580 = Us Dollar 0.63460  if you take that into consideration our prices are not that far off

And you also have to take into consideration the size of our country and how far we have to drive :)

(the size of our cars and our driving habits , yes are our own  faults!!)

  2. I paid 119.9 the other day - but at the BP on the M1 it was 124.

    Darn government with their taxes!!!

  3. Diesel here (Mid Wales) is around 134.9p per litre (£6.12 per gallon - about $12.16 or 7.72 Euro)

(Good job mine runs on veg oil!)

  4. we pay roughly $4.35 here in the U.S. (East coast)

  5. Remember American gallons are smaller than English ones. An American pint weighs one pound an English one a pound and a quarter. As both are eight to the gallon and English gallon is 25% bigger.
