  1. $359.00 with air fare,

    VEGAS BABY !!!

13 years ago and a world away

the other $30,000 were used on more important things.

  2. My father in law is a pastor so the church was free.

My sister in law got us our reception hall at half price because they wanted her business ($5k).

My wife and mother in law made a lot of the flower arrangements themselves.

The whole thing still cost about $25k.  This is in the Washington DC area, 9 months ago.  Average wedding here is about $50k.  Everyone tells me it was a beautiful wedding.  I think we did well for spending half of the average amount.

  3. $2,000.  We were on a budget, did the food all ourselves (though it was gourmet) and only had 15 guests.

  4. 25K

  5. $12,000

That got us 75 people at a private art gallery with a sit down meal & two a two week 5,000 mile cross country road trip; beaches, mountains w/snow, deserts, national parks…wouldn’t trade it for anything!

  6. 13,000.00 so far

  7. Lol, I havent had the wedding yet, but so far have spent £60 on 4 bridesmaids dresses. Not bad when they were meant to be over £300 each! :) :) Trying to keep it all cheap, so are doing well so far. Have got a budget of about £6000 so far which aint too bad!

  8. Wedding = 6,500.00

    Honeymoon = 2,000.00

  9. Our budget is $20k although we are tracking closer to $18k - - that doesn't include honeymoon as we will be postponing it.

We are inviting 200 guests and anticipating 175 to actually show up for a Saturday dinner reception.

  10. Im getting marrid in july and so far 10k

  11. We are looking at about ~$22k, not including the honeymoon or our rings.

    The $22k includes:

    - save the date cards and postage

    - invitations and postage

    - ceremony donation at our church

    - programs, all flowers, aisle runner and unity candle for ceremony

    - musician for ceremony

    - bridesmaid dresses, hair and makeup

    - grooms tux and groomsmen tuxes

    - limo service to reception

    - reception for 170 people at a local winery

    - 5 course sit-down dinner with 1 hour cocktails/appetizers

    - cake and dessert table

    - cake boxes for sending cake home

    - favors (wine and cheese basket for each couple/single)

    - alcohol for reception (5 hour open bar, wine/beer/liquor)

    - DJ

    - floral centerpeices and sweetheart table centerpeice, 2 extra large flower arrangements for grandmothers

    - 2 photographers, wedding album, 3 parent albums, rights to photos

and probably some miscellaneous things I forgot ( =

  17. Hum...well so far the wedding is going to cost around 18-19K and the honeymoon another 6K or so.  About 25K although I am doing my best to make it less!

    --------------------------------------...

    Grand total : 30k

I saved a lot of money shopping around, asking for discounts and buying on sale. I'm getting married on a Sunday, so we got a great deal on the venue (normally they charge a 15k minimum consumption!!!). We saved around 12-15k. A wedding like ours would cost waayyy more in our area. Very cheap for the Boston area. The average wedding here in boston is about 50k. We kept it small so we could have evrything top of the line : )

    Good luck

  20. we spent next to nothing...my parents pitched in about 5k and his mom pitched in about 500 bucks...and we did what we could with that. it was 9 years ago though and weddings weren't the ridiculous way -they are now.

my advice to anyone getting married is take the difference you manage to save on the wedding and put it down on a house or if your parents would do it....take the money they would have spent on the wedding and elope and use the money to get started in life.

houses, furniture, cars, curtains...cost a lot and don't use a credit card for it, when you just had a $30k wedding..thats daaaa-UMB!

  21. Aprox $5k
