The cover on my parakeet's cage to keep seeds in isn't working well?

it's a stretchy piece of cloth I wrap around the bottom to keep in stray seeds but it bunches up and collects seeds in it so when I move it, it drops seeds everywhere! Also, my bird will p**p on it and it's impossible to wash, you have to hand wash it to get it off. Can anyone suggest an easier seed cover? Maybe an explanation of it or pic (don't have to). Thank you.

Sorry you wasted your money.

The best way is to put the food dishes up and in the middle of the cage. This will cut the mess by 95% or so.

The next best way is to put Plexiglas around the bottom.
