The crucible?? writing a paragraph.?

so i have to write a paragraph on what can be learned for the crucible.

(aka the salem witch trials.)

but i dont really think you can learn anything from it. because the people who were lying didnt get caught & the innocent ones were hanged.

so what should i write about. someone try & help.

  1. We can learn from it that when mass hysteria takes over, it sometimes becomes the law.  We learn that life is not always fair, and that the good and innocent are not always vindicated.

  2. you can learn that manipulators can take advantage of people and use their fear as a power source to gain control of society. And if anyone defies them or tries to expose their lie, they can use their power to make people afraid of them (like by yelling 'witch!!') and then an angry mob will go after them and people still believe the lyer. :P

  3. I think you answered your own question. Write about the fact that the story illustrates that sometimes in life there are injustices. Everywhere we turn things are happening that are not fair. The innocent are slaughtered, and people aren't held to account. Use the text to illustrate your points and you are on your way.
