Question:

The crutch or granny stick as it is called, how did it come about and who invented it and when?

  1. I'm kind of short too, so the bridge is a tool I use a LOT! :)  

    I can't find who invented it or when, but I did find a reference to the "rest", as it was called back then, in the early 1800's.

Do not know the answer to this question......but thanks for using the term "Granny".....an old school term that some of the young guns always look at me weird when I use it....glad to see that someone out there still uses it.....good luck on the question.....I am like Johnny, not much control......always remember a tip someone gave me....."stay behind the 50 yard line(side pocket) with the cue ball".......although a little longer, it avoids using the bridge when it gets on the other side of the side pocket.....good luck with your question!
