I pay C.S.A. for my daughter and have done for years, the C.S.A. say that i am responsible for my daughter, does this allow me to claim tax credits for her?

  1. No. It's two different things. You are responsible for the maintence of your child, not it's care. To be eligiable for Tax Credits you must be the person who receives Child benefit i.e. the main carer
