The current bowling attack is one of South Africa’s all time best, feels Allan Donald – Cricket News Update
South Africa’s former fast bowler and bowling coach, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 and believes that the current bowling attack is one of the Proteas’ all time best.
The first Test between the two cricketing giants is going to commence from November 9, at Brisbane. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013, will be dethroned in
case of a series defeat, with the Baggy Greens taking over.
The series is surely a mouth-watering prospect for the cricket fans all around the world, with both the teams having some brilliant fast bowlers.
A number of talented speedsters have emerged from Australia’s domestic cricket over the last 14 months, including http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mitchell-Aaron-Starc-c76392. Some of them will be on view during the Test series to accompany Peter
Siddle and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/BW-Hilfenhaus-c1204.
However, the Proteas’ bowling coach is extremely confident about his bowling unit in the presence of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Imran-c64193 Tahir.
Donald, who himself formed a stunning bowling partnership with Shaun Pollock in his playing days, has no doubts that the current bowling attack is more potent.
"I would have to say that yes [this is the best South African attack], and I'm not just saying that, because I was part of an attack with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shaun-Maclean-Pollock-c89847 and myself and a few others. I say this humbly and respectfully, I think this is
as good as it gets," Donald said.
The former fast bowler thinks that the selectors deserve a lot of credit for being consistent in their policies and giving ample time to the players to establish themselves at the world stage.
He expressed, "They've been bowling together for quite some time now, which is nice, so momentum's been built over the last couple of years, consistency in selection, and it's nice to have a group of guys that know what they're about.”
Taking into account the hard and bouncy tracks in Australia, one can safely predict that fast bowlers from both the sides will decide the fate of the series.
