Im reading the da vinci code and have seen all the shows prooving it and disproving it whats the truth? Im catholic btw and this is very logical why couldnt jesus have a wife and kid?

you read the book,seen the shows so did the writer, then he went off and ripped off the story from a book was called holy blood holy grail

Many of the ideas behind The Da Vinci Code are taken from writings that religious leaders a long time ago decided should not be a part of the Bible.  The wikipedia article below gives a really good outline of the historical, etc. inaccuracies of the book.

The truth is that no one knows the truth.

I have seen many thoughts on the subject of Jesus having a wife and or children and of Jesus having brothers and sisters and  cousins and how the apostles were all his relatives and so and so forth. It is all speculation.

The best piece I found on Da Vinci Code showed that most of this story relates to one man's plot to claim he was desended from kings. He worked in the records department in the French government. He made it look as though he was a  desendant of the Marivengian line which is supposed to the desendants of Jesus.

This is what the writers of  Holy Blood, Holy Grail were writing about.  This is the book Dan Brown adapted to make The Da Vinci Code. The Authors of  Holy Blood, Holy Grail are currently more interested in teh geographic patterns that churches tend to pop up on in. It appears they always form the Star of David with one main church in the center.

The point is that they are more concerned with the connection between churches and other religions or symbols.

But there is no telling if Jesus had a family and It really would not make a difference if he did. it takes nothing away from his story. It actually just leaves a possibility that there is more man has to learn about the story.
