My boyfriend and I have decided to either get married in 2009 at the end of July or the beginning of August. But, I need a bit a help on deciding colors. What are some great color schemes to go with that season?

  1. These days, almost anything goes. I've even heard of a christmas in july wedding...the bride loved Christmas but wanted a wedding in the summer!

White on white is classic and goes with any season. you can ,ix shades of white and keep your bridesmaids in either black with a white or ivory, or a champagne color.

You can also pick a bold color and a neutral: red with white, green and ivory, etc. Remember that chocolate brown can be a neutral, as can metallics.

You could also find a theme and let that dictate your color choices: seaside with blues and whites, Tropical with punchy oranges and yellows, etc.

don't let it overwhelm you too much. Thee really aren't any mistakes...just lots of choices.

the only thing I'll tell you is to be careful with Purples. If you do a purple on purple with purple thing, it can read grey in a room depending on the lighting. Some purple is great, especially against another color. But too much of it and it looks muddy.

    Good luck!

  2. I don't believe that you have to pick colours that flow with the time of day or the season. But you can if you want.

Personally I like the idea of picking colours that fit your personalities, or pick Your Favorite Colour and your Fiances Favorite Colour.

    My best friend did that

    Her Favorite - Dusty Rose

    His Favorite - Orange

    It turned out so pretty.

My fiance and I did Black and White because we wanted something very elegant and we chose an accent colour of Royal Purple. My mum had just passed away and that was her favorite colour.

Do something that is important to the both of you.

  3. Congratulations!

Think about going shopping and trying on different colors, you should pick a color that looks great on you!  It will help off-set your white dress.

If you are getting married outside, you can even think about a floral print dress for the girls.

    Good luck!

  4. What is your favorite color? Go by what u like!

Let say your favorite is chocolate brown but u what a summer look for it

You can pair it with Lime green,Pink or even turquoise!

Its your day make is memorable!
