The debate of who is the greatest Quarter-Back in NFL History (Part 1)
We have already heard debates and arguments as to what player is the best in the National Football League. We have even heard discussions on who the best overall player is or who is most dominant in his specific position. Whatever the talk is about, if it
relates to understanding who the most influential players in the NFL are, we can never keep Brett Favre out of the debate.
However, the so-called experts of understanding the game will some time make remarks about how Favre is probably the greatest player in NFL but considering him the ultimate quarter-back of all times would not be right.
Such remarks and opinions are rather confusing for anyone who has truly followed the game for a couple of decades. Understanding it would be an issue for those fans and critics.
Often, we find sports journalists and writers quarrelling over who the best players are, given their position of specialty. There is no doubt that the world has witnessed some truly exceptional and marvellous quarter-backs, each endowed with more brilliance
than the other.
But, no matter how strong a debate may be or how extensive the facts put forward might be as at the end, there can really be only one best quarter-back, forward or defender in the league.
With the passage of time, we have witnessed some magician quarter-backs, legends of the game. Some of them are still playing while some retired. Take a look at W.Moore, who has amassed some shocking statistics over a long career. His stats seem even more
commendable when you find out that he began his NFL career at the late age of 27.
Dan Marino was another player who made tons of world records in his time and had a completely one in a kind of playing style. He was different than any other quarter-back with regards to his motions and movements.
Furthermore, we can take a look at the veteran and classical quarter-backs. Men like Joe Namath, Johnny Unitaz and perhaps Peyton Manning. The list can go on and on.
Thoughts are provoked when we really try to comprehend what it is that actually draws the difference line between any one of them from the other? Mostly, all the mentioned marvels have some great numbers that they have created. They have been rewarded heavily
for what they did for their teams and each one of them had his own individual style and technique of playing.
If we truly and thoroughly look at the statistics, endurance and technique of playing then who is the distinct player that can really match the extraordinary features of Brett Favre. It should not even be something to ponder upon.
Players like the great Joe Montana and Tom Brady no doubt have a minimum of three NFL Super Bowl rings to their credit but, the reflection of a player or how great he is or was, cannot and isn't only measurable by the number of championships he has to his
name.
In the 1980s, Montano had some massive talent to assist him while his team had a pool of magnificent quarter-backs and other specialists that would simply be excellent in helping him complete the play. The number of total guns backing the greats of the game
is also something to be looked at. Hence, their individual effort is reduced.
Once you keep that in mind, everyone who has doubts might be in a better position to make judgments. Because the support and assistance anyone receives makes a difference to the individual merit of a player.
When a team’s forward has always had excellent receivers and an effective and powerful defensive group, he will automatically produce better personal results and numbers.
There may well be no actual way to show the world but it can be noticed and seen that Brett achieved his personal statistical achievements with less than what all the other greats had.
