Valencia have parted ways with coach, Mauricio Pellegrino, after their humiliating 5-2 defeat at the hands of Real Sociedad at the Mestalla stadium on Saturday night.
The defeat was Valencia's second consecutive defeat in the Primera Division and as a result, they slipped to the second-half of the table.

The rumours turned out to be true as the club president, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Manuel-c23383 Llorente, decided to drop the axe on the Argentine.
Llorente cited his reasons and mentioned that the board had a debate about the future of Pellegrino and concluded that it was best to part ways with him.
“After the game, we exchanged views, debated, and we have taken the decision to dismiss Coach http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mauricio-c24899 Pellegrino.”
The president admitted that it was not an easy decision for them. However, given the current situation of the club, he and the board felt it was the inevitable and the right thing to do.
“We have communicated this to him. It was a decision, as you can all imagine, that was painful, but we think that within the scope of our responsibility that we have to take such decisions.”
Meanwhile, the Argentine mentor has come out and said that he doesn’t agree with the decision taken by the board and strongly feels hard done by. He believes that his sacking was unfair.
“I just want to comment on the decision. Everyone knows that I consider it unfair and do not share it with the board.”
The 41-year-old also added that the decision to fire him was disconcerted and arrogant one.
“I think it is a flustered and hot-headed decision, but that is what you get in football.”
Finally, Pellegrino thanked Los Che faithful for all the things they have done for him.
“I want to thank the fans and the players for everything they've done. “
Valencia are currently sitting on the 12th position in La Liga table and seven points adrift of the much coveted fourth spot for the Champions League.
