sports hall in the Italian city of Rome was rocked with the stellar performance of the Brazilian squad. They played the influential match like they already had the victory in their back-pack. Brazil brushed off Germany in three straight sets and put up a score

It was the first time that these two teams came face to face in the FIVB Championship, 2010. Anyhow, they played a friendly match two weeks ago. By hook or by crook, Germany won that match but the psychological edge of victory couldn’t enable Germans to
beat Brazil in the real contest. The Brazilian hotshots descended the court with their guns loaded. They performed in a great manner and hit German team from every angle. The classical match ended in Brazil’s favour and promoted them in the semi-final. Brazil
also took the sweet revenge from Germany.
The South American team was equipped with strong and experienced players, while Germany was struggling with a team of young players. The physical supremacy of Brazil prevailed on the German side and they couldn’t resist to Brazil’s wonderful triumph.
First Set
The first set started out with good serves and blazing aces from Brazil. Endres Murilo of Brazil served the ball with full power of his arms and created trouble for the German defenders. Brazil earned early points and dominated the other side. Germany suffered
a lot of damage due to the faulty serves. Brazil picked up lead and widened the gap of points to 16-9 at the second technical timeout.
Brazilian Lucas Saatkamp set perfect timing with Murilo and attacked German defence. They spotted the empty spaces in German court and targeted the ball in right direction. The German team relied on just two blockers, Cristian and Bjorn. Christian Dunnes
demonstrated great skills to block the Brazilian fire-balls. Brazil brought in more ferocity in attack and stretched the score to finish line. Germany collapsed in the first set after receiving 25-17.
Second Set
Germany suffered the loss of first set on account of the bad ball-reception. The German head coach, Raul Lozano had a hard time to formulate a plan for the revival of team. In the hour of need, Jochen Schops hit some good shots for Germany and scored valuable
points. The German game saw improvement in the second set and they raised their heads a little bit. Brazil lagged behind with a difference of one point at 13-14.
Nonetheless, the Brazilian trio Vissotto, Murilo and Santana put a combined effort and brought the team out of blues. They hit impressive shots and covered every inch of the court. German hitters tried to break their rhythm but Brazil kept on moving ahead.
Finally, Brazil took the game away from Germany and built a score of 25-20 to win the set.
Third Set
The Brazilian team could sense the smell of victory after two successful sets. Germany was drafted under huge pressure as they failed to put up with Brazilian strike. The key player of Germany, Schops attacked aggressively but couldn’t find a way to success.
Brazil proved to be too good for Germany and kept them behind the attack line. The steady performance of Brazil earned them third set victory in the 25th minute and set ended with a score of 25-19.
