  1. I'm not sure how you got to where you are now, but it is definitely wrong.

    = ∫ (1+2x^3) [0,5]

    = ∫ (1) + ∫ (2x^3)

    = (x) + (.5x^4)

    = g(x)

    = g(5) - g(0)

    = .5*5^4 + 5 - (0)

    = 635 / 2 = 317.5

  2. ∫ (1+2x^3) = x + 2(x^4)/4 = x + x^4/2  [0,5] = 5 + 5^4/2
