This lady is a heartbeat away fom president and McCain picks her for VP to win over the women vote. It does not matter at all that she has no foreign policy experience. McCain is using the Karl Rove playbook and you know what happens when you use the Karl Rove playbook! BUSH!!!!

  1. the woman has energized the republican party..she promises real change..she will fight corruption in washington dc. she will end wasteful spending in washington d.c....she is exactly what this country needs..a non-washington d.c. politician..btw, you ever notice that liberals are all for womans rights and breaking through the glass ceiling....till it's a conservative woman doing it? funny how that works...i think it works the same way with black people too..if you're a liberal black, you are a victim, if you are a conservative black, you're part of the "problem"...

  2. I'm an independent and liked McCain, but his choice of Palin has me questioning his judgment.  I think Palin was quite possibly the worst VP he could have chosen.

  3. I LOVE her..

she stands for everything I like.. tis time for a change and she is it!!!

  4. I think he used good judgement because we need some new faces in Washington besides a bunch of senators. I think choosing a governor was a good move and choosing a strong woman governor was a great move.

  5. Well, if McCain has bad judgment for selecting Palin; doesn't that mean the DNC has bad judgment for selecting Obama?

  6. With a bit of luck, McCain has blown his chances of getting elected. Not that he had any chance anyway.

  7. And Obama has the same lack of experience and her will be incharge on day one.

  8. I agree... are you telling me that out of everyone eligible to be VP, John McCain said "I think Sarah Palin is the most qualified out of every single person"? I don't think so.

  9. McCain picked he to keep his base, he can't really believe that this is going to get womens votes in close states. This is not going to play out good at all over the next 2 months.

  10. McCain has reached for the stars and grabbed one. On a recent cruise to Alaska, I had the pleasure of spending an afternoon with Sarah Palin. She is brilliant and articulate and, in Alaska politics, is a breath of fresh air as an alternative to their corruption epitomized by Alaska Republican Senator Ted Stevens. Now Obama, who has spent two years preventing a woman from being president, will spend two months preventing one from becoming vice president – and hopes to do so with women votes. The entire premise of the Democratic convention was the fungibility of Bush and McCain. Now McCain has vividly demonstrated the difference. Sarah Palin is no d**k Cheney!

  11. given that McCain referred to her as his 'soul mate'  I think he chose her just so he could be near her.

I also think that she will resign due to family obligation before the elections and someone else will be put in her place.  Maybe another more suitable woman.  They will just use her to generate the buzz..

Maybe I'm wrong but I can picture the gears going in Rove's brain, and some of the others....

  12. John McCain's approval ratings DROPPED because of Palin according to Polls:

  13. The Democrats must be picking at straws.  What foreign policy experience does Obama have?  And anyway, McCain is the one with foriegn policy experience.

The VP choice I'm worried about is Biden.

  14. Many vp's and presidents have had very little to no experience. And look at who obama picked...i mean you can't get much worse then joe biden.

  15. And exactly what is Obama's foreign policy experience other than one trip to Europe and Iraq when goaded by McCain?

The Democrats were really not expected to praise either McCain or Palin were they?

The lady has enough moxie to be a far better candidate than Obama who is a socialist and would disarm our country and destroy our economy.

  16. There are many  question that need to be answer about the Mayor from Alaska Palin .We know Gov. Sarah Palin has some baggage that makes her a pretty risky choice for McCain: she's embroiled in an abuse of power investigation, was for the infamous "bridge to nowhere" before she lied about being against it, is pretty cozy with corrupt Alaskan Senator Ted Stevens, doesn't exactly know what the vice president's job actually is, etc., etc.Palin is not ready to be president .

    OBAMA BIDEN 2008

  17. You win with that playbook. I don't know why you left that out.

  18. judging by the near-deafeing collective squeal of pain from the Dems/Libs.....McCain's choice was masterful.

Since I disagree with the notion of a welfare / socialist nation, that's all I needed to hear to decide my vote for McCain/Palin

  19. ..STILL the fat IS that she is the N2 spot...as were Obama is the N1 spot..BIG difference!  ...lol..h**l..she has more executive experience than Obama.....

  20. Maverick chice. I'm looking foward to hearing her on the campaign trail.

  21. The Democrats would certainly KNOW about BAD judgment! Look who they picked!!   LMAO...Get ready for President McCain and Vice President Palin!

  22. I think its too early to tell

    BAM

  23. No, I don't think McCain has bad judgement. In fact, I am infuriated that he had such wisdom in his pick.

I think it will fog up the actual choice.  Women who wanted Hillary will be drawn by the uterus as the VP to (what could be) the oldest elected president EVER and they will get a woman who is nothing like Hillary.

And then they will be sad.

  24. I love politics, its one of the few subjects that we are all passionate enough about to get into physical altercations over. I think that good leadership isn't always born of experience, rather a good moral compass, respect for your fellow citizens and their way of life. Palin in my own meager opinion is an excellent choice not just for political strategy, but for the united states as well. She seems to be a woman whom by most accounts doesn't just talk the talk. She is a wife and mother, (one of her children has downs syndrome) and is not so overly conservative that she won't go against her own party when the situation calls for it ethically. For those of you that are steadfast proponents of the second amendment she is supportive of your rights and shares in your sport. She also can boast the highest approval rating of any Governor in her home state of Alaska's history. Besides in politics anymore it seems that "experience" equals corruption, shouldn't we embrace someone who has less of it in these troubled times?

  25. There's that word again - heartbeat. Gettin' as bad as "change".

You think the dems would say something good if they didn't think Palin was gonna be a thorn in their sides this election?

Ann Coulter always says the less a liberal likes you the more you know you're right.

  26. I have no use for either one of them; he is senile and she is a total s***k.

  27. I like her very much and think it was good judgemnet to pick her but I will say it does seem hypocritical of McCain.

  28. I must agree with Democrats!  This is scary stuff.

btw...Go Kayla!   Palin is far from a feminist...her views are more like that of the chauvinist misogynistic McCain - maybe she's a tranny!

  29. Okay, I'm a woman...he may have been trying to get me.

I am a SAHM who values time at home with her children.  I feel one parent needs to be focused on the needs the children, mom or dad.I don't care which...

However, this woman just gave birth 5 months ago to a special needs child....this child needs her time, her nuturing and her advocacy....

She isn't going to win me over.....plus she looks like a crazy woman...

Plus she is a right-wing nut!

  30. She was an excellent pick.

Palin has more experience than Obama.  Palin's has experience as a chief executive.  Obama has never been in charge of anything.

What foreign policy experience does Obama have?  He voted against the Surge and said it would fail.  To this day he can not admit that the surge has worked.  He has no experience and shows poor judgement.

  31. As a woman, I'm offended by his choice. He thinks he can win my vote by including a v****a on his ticket? Sorry, but she does NOT represent women. She calls herself a feminist, which enrages me. John McCain is more of a feminist than Sarah Palin. She's aligned herself with a man to doesn't believe in equal work equal pay, and she wants to outlaw abortion. She doesn't care about women's rights. I'd be d**n ashamed if she was our first female President.
