The destiny of all Labour Governments?

This bunch of halfwits will soon be chucked out because they taxed and spent until all the money has gone.

Has there ever been a Labour Administration that has not gone down the same path and ended up with a bankrupt country? Which one?

no labour government has sold the country out. lied continuously about every thing, committed treason and slaughtered five hundred thousand innocent people. NEW labour sailed in on a sea of lies and deception and it will sail out on that same choppy sea. the difference is they have left a broken country that will never recover. and a people so devalued and shell shocked that the country will probably be in the hands of Islam within ten years. new labour will go down in history as being the traitor government who stabbed Britain in the back and sold it off to its enemies. as for Blair, he should be handed to the Iraqi people for trial, and share the same fate as Saddam.

Going back 50years and being a former Labour supporter;I just cannot remember a government of any party as incompetent as this one!

This is what happens when you let a bunch of incompetent political cretins loose on the national and international scene!Result;Chaos!Absolute chaos.

What concerns me is!Who is going to pay for all this political financial bungling?The pensioner;The one parent family;The young couple struggling to purchase their first house.The list is endless and frightening!

It is equivalent to a plague of locusts of biblical times!No one deserves this Labour Government!

Do-not confuse this Nu Labour government with Labour governments of old.

Past Labour governments had the welfare of the working class at their heart, this sham of a Labour government have the welfare of big business's and their own political Carree's in their own black heart.

Labour governments of old were probably just as inept as this one, but at least they knew where their bread was buttered, never have I know a government that can be so callas and undemocratic as this one, even maggie would have shy-ed away from some of the blatant vote buying cons that this Nu Labour government seems to think that are good for PR.

Every time you hear one open their gob you just have wonder how deep a hole they are going to dig themselves this time.

I have come to the conclusion that Labour governments will always end in tears.However attractive the soundbites seem from time to time (and they will always have an audience for them) the facts are that no Labour Government has ever created any real jobs or achieved any real economic development or real sustainable growth.Giving other people's money away is not how you do it.Not surprising given the educational and ideological background of most Labour politicos and supporters (unless of course they have already made their pile of dosh and want to "give something back").  

I guarantee the only way to ensure your money is well spent is if its your own.Even then there are no safe bets.Just going to Cambridge or Oxford reading PPE and then becoming PPS to a politician and later a safe seat MP does not make you wise.

All political careers are doomed to failure unless the holder dies in office. What seems to happen is that after a period of time a government becomes to important in it's own eyes and regards itself as infallible . it is at that point that crisis after crisis occurs. The one thing which has taken me by surprise is how often an error which would have led to an immediate resignation and disgrace in previous administrations has resulted in only a temporary absence from the front bench the exception being Keith Vaz . Surely this exposes a lack of talent which must be a cause for concern in both parties (and even the Lib Dems.)

I don't favour either - but both parties reach their own type of crisis after a long period in office.

Whether this bears out when it's examined I'm not sure. But thats my impression.

Is there any government that doesn't mess up the economy, or is everyone on here too young to remember the recession of the 90's? We have yet to fall into recession, but if we do it has been caused by global conditions, unlike the 90's when it was caused by greedy macro economic policies and the blatant destruction of the trade unions at the expense of the country as a whole and the wiping out of industry in the UK. After the unions were removed, there was no one to argue for job safety, wage rises, etc, but as long as everyone was bought off with the money from north sea oil, the utilities being sold off, etc, who cares. I don't believe Labour is any better, all main parties are just bloodsucking thieves, but please don't think the Tories are any better, as they can't even string a series of coherent policies together.

It's easy to criticise, but much harder to come up with a viable alternative.

If they are left there long enough, they self destruct. Often however, they escape and leave the Tories to sweep up the mess. This particular administration is not only economically incompetent, but also morally bankrupt and traitorous.
