  1. Area = PI x R x R

    Where PI is 3.14159 and R=radius (or half diameter).

  2. Must be a pi plate! A= pi(r squared).  Nudge it up a little for the concavity, or get a calculus guy to help!

  3. 78,53981634 sq.in

  4. the formula for area of a circle is pi(r^2)

    so the r here is half of the ten

    thus area is 25pi

  5. the area of a circle is computed by multiplying PI(equivalent to 3.1416) to the square of its radius. The radius is half of its diameter so,

    Area=PI (x) Radius (x) Radius

    or

    Area = PI (x) Diameter (x) Diameter (/) 4

    Area = 3.1416 (x) 10 (/) 4

    Area = 78.54 square inches

  6. The area of a circle = pi times r squared.  The radius = 1/2 of the diameter.  So r = 5.

    5^2 * pi = 25 pi or approximately 78.5398163

  7. Most plates are not flat so this also must be considered in the calculation.....james the HOLLOW EARTH MAN
