  1. I use to but now I like it being alone but I have a few female friends that keep me satisfied with no commitment needed. I agree with above it is your mindset.

  2. Yep i do. Im just typing this sentece now because i cant just say "Yep" because Yahoo! says its not detailed enough...  -.-

  3. Yep! Its generally when I'm not connecting with my friends! ie we are not on the same page on a particular topic, but still hanging out! Then the loneliness kicks in!

  4. Yes. It happens to us all from time to time.

  5. i am mostly alone.. i dont have many friends..

and .. i am very lonely too..

    sigh..

  6. I do feel lonely at times if I am depressed.  Sometimes, your close friends or family can not heal that pain of depression but it helps to have that extra love close by.

  7. I once had so strong feeling about this fact that I ended up writing a poem on it. But it is in Urdu. In one couplet I had said:

" Sometimes I am encircled in a crowd

But still alone  I am, just alone "

The difference between lonely and being alone is a being in a crowd and on one's own. Loneliness is a state of mind whereas being alone is a physical fact.

I hope it made sense to you.

  9. Feeling lonely is a sad experience it doesn't matter how many people or friends are in the same room as you, Being alone is ME time when you want to ponder or get on with something in peace.

  10. You can be alone and still not be lonely, and you can be lonely while in a room full of people.  It's all in the heart.

  11. For me, being alone is a physical situation, as in "I live alone." Being lonely is an emotional and psychological mindset.

I've always believed that being alone does not necessarily mean being lonely.

  12. Yep...i think it is pretty normal for most people to feel that way once in a while, no matter how many people are around : )

  13. It depends on how you mean lonely.  I've always preferred my own company and I'm grateful that my friends know that and leave me in peace unless they need me, so in that respect I don't feel lonely, but there are times when I feel lonely as a single person.  If that doesn't make sense I'm sorry, I can't think of a better way to explain it, but if I find the right words I'll come back and edit my answer.

  14. Some times, yes I do. But I try not to focus on it. I think we all feel a bit alone at times.
