I found a stray cat on the street and i took it in (it has no owner and its perfectly safe). And i am just wondering, how do i know if it is a boy or girl? Are there any physical features that I could check out or something like that...?

Thanks in Advance, and please be specific because i dont know much about cats.

Literally that's what it looks like.. just look under the cats tail and you'll be able to tell. Some other physical indications that cats are male are; larger heads, often with plenty of scarring in un-neutered males. Bigger, thicker legs and bodies and of course an adult intact cat will have quite prominent furry balls.. that look rather like pom-poms! lol

  3. p***s

  4. lol a guy has balls duh

  5. If it's an unneutered male then you would see testicles.

    If it's a female, you wouldn't.

Females tend to look like a semi-colon when viewed from the rear ; while males tend to look like a colon :

  6. Honestly, sir... If you don't know the difference between a male and a female... Wow.

You look, and see if the cat has a weener. If it doesn't, it's a girl.

  7. You're new to cats, so go to:About.com/cats. This site will give you all the information you should know about your cat.

  8. Well I have 2 stray cats. (both boys) anyway 1 is afraid of humans and that one has not been neutered yet (in other words it still has its things) and my other one just came to me and he was already neutered. What you have to do is get the cat to roll on its back to see the stomach and just between the two back legs there should be a bit of a lump if it is a boy and nothing if it is a girl. Hope that helps!

  9. well since males have balls and females don't it should be pretty obvious.

  10. It can be difficult to tell the differnce between male and female kittens.

Breeders sometimes liken the appearance of the early genitals of kittens to punctuation:

A female kitten's genitals will resemble an upside-down exclamation point with the vertical vaginal slit below the a**s.

A male kitten's organ will look more like a colon.

Also, the female's vaginal opening is closer to the a**s than the male's budding p***s, which may have very small lumps between it and the a**s, which will develop into testicles.

It will be very difficult to accurately tell the s*x of a kitten until it is at least two weeks old, and even then, both experienced breeders and veterinarians have been known to make mistakes.

Here are a few visuals to help you determine the s*x:

  11. Have a look online at a feline cat society they will have pictures of both the sexes and then look at the cat and see which pic fits the most.

If still in doubt take it to your nearest vet.

  12. Its possibly a girl. I saw shapes of faces for different gender in my two cats...that mght be it but since i dont know ur cat i cant tell.
