  1. I would say that the brain and the mind could be compared to the computer and the software.

The brain being the physical and the mind being what and how the brain thinks.

  2. To me the brain is the physical, tangible "storage unit" of thoughts and knowledge.  The mind is like the way thoughts and knowledge are used.  There are brain surgeons, not mind surgeons.  And people say "I like him/her for their mind" not their brain.

Brain - tangible.  Mind - intangible.

I really hope I made sense.

  3. the brain deals with functions, the mind allows you to have emotions and feelings, and use the brain how you may

  4. The difference is like the difference between a home and house, respectively. The brain is the physical organ that is housed within the heads of humans and other creatures. The mind is the product of all the brain can produce. It's the brain in action. It's the combination of the physical capacity of the brain used in a coordinated effort to produce a certain outcome.
