  1. There are no similarities.

  2. you stated the difference, the belief in where we came from

Similarity is that God created all things to adapt to environment. All living things evolve. Evolutionism happens every day whether one believes God created all living things or not.

  3. Evolution - Natural selection (survival of the fittest) acting upon beneficial mutations (copying errors in the genetic code) over millions of years; all living things are modified descendants of a common ancestor that lived in the distant past.

Creation - God created the different "kinds" of plants and animals to reproduce after their kind (baraminology).  They have great variability and adaptability, but they are still dogs and bacteria, etc.

Most of the time, people just give examples of natural selection and assume it points to molecules-to-man evolution.  Creationists believe in natural selection and even "speciation." Take a look at these:

  4. 1) You should be aware that there are number of different thoughts labeled Creationism. So, there is a variety of differences between each type and the various assumptions made by evolutionist based on real evidence.

2)Both have faith that their ideas are the truth but evolutionist changing their beliefs upon new data.

    3)Both have some false ideas

    4)Both have hidden agendas

5)Both have similiar roots "In 1605 Francis Bacon emphasised that the works of God in nature teach us how to interpret the word of God in the Bible, and his Baconian method introduced the empirical approach which became central to modern science."

6)Both can be dangerous without the control and check of the other.

  5. One is science based on facts and evidence, the other is a religion. One offers evidence and warrants acceptance, the other does not and requires belief.

  6. Your premise is false.

Evolution does not say "We came from Animals", it says that living organisms evolve by adapting to changes in their environment.  Evolution does not deal with "Creation" at all.

"Creation" deals with the beginning of life.

"Evolution" deals with  how "life" adapts to changes in environment.

So we're really talking about two different things.

Hopefully you can see the difference.

  7. There are no similarities between the two, but there are other religious-based beliefs such as intelligent design.

  8. There are no similarities.

One is fact; the other is bunk!

  9. Scientists, trained to observe phenomena impartially & objectively, simply state that the universe was created, and once created, it has followed specific physical laws, and consistent principles (such as gravity, the speed of light & the evolutionary process), which we have come to undersrtand.

Whether it was created accidentally or intentionally, the impetus which contributed to this event, had to have originated outside of time & space, and therefore, we can NEVER know anything about its true nature!

Creationists, though without any verifiable evidence, have entered into an arena, in which they have NO qualifications, and have claimed to know the truth about this event, which has evaded all scientists, and that is, that the world was created 6,012 years ago, this coming October 23rd.

Their basis for this wild & outlandish conclusion, is from an ancient epic poem, which was passed down orally, for 3,000 years, before it was ever written down on paper (2600 years ago), as well as their emotional conviction that it MUST be true, because of their faith, based on what they were taught by their subjective religion, even though many of these belief systems abound in superstitious myth!

As for who may be more accurate in their thinking, I'll let YOU decide...

  10. The difference.  One is a myth and one is a scientific fact as much as anything can be.  One does it with evidence.  The other does it with wishful thinking and the belief that ancients were given divine wisdom.

The similarities.  Both seek to answer one of the most fundamental questions facing humans, who and what are we.

  11. I believe that if their is a God who created the Heavens and the Earth then he did it in an evolutionary way so I don't think one idea contradicts the other.   Now Scientists don't exist to argue with those who don't believe in evolutionary ideas.  They are people who are clever and can discern many truths from their studies - like it was Science that worked out the earth was not flat;  it was Science that worked out there were dinosaurs that roamed the planet many millions and millions of years ago;  it was Science that worked out how diseases are spread - ( viruses constantly mutating proves evolution in the here and now - you know viruses that build up immunity to antibiotics etc. constantly changing to adapt);  it was Science that studied and figured out a lot of things about us and our evolution with stuff like the Human Genome Project and if there is a God up there well he gave these people good brains to study and work out great mysteries about life in general don't you think????

The conditions on earth at the time of the dinosaurs for instance was a lot different than the environment we live in today millions of years down the track so there just had to be gradual adaptations for living things to survive in altering environments and many many past species couldn't cope and so became extinct all in this planet's stages of evolving to what we see and what we are today.

Now all of this that we have and see now was put in motion when this planet formed (Big Bang) Now that Big Bang to set our part of the Universe into being was either caused by God or caused by some Natural Event of Nature without any Supreme Being.  One or the other but whichever you choose where we are today and all the other animals and plants etc. evolved to suit the conditions we have on earth now.
