Let me give you the background. I went to my regular doctor and told her. was sensitive to temperatures. She order a thyroid(and apparently also red blood cell count, platelet count, white blood cell count, lipids, and cholesterol.) They took 2 vials of blood. My thyroid came back weird so she sent me for another. They took 2 vials. Then She told me that my thyroid was normal but my white blood cell count was low, and sent me to a specialist. The Specialist talked to me and sent me to the lab and they took 8 big vials of blood. Why do the need 8 vials?!?! I have to do this next week and the week after that too. Why do they need so much blood!

  1. Good Question . If any one else wants your blood, tell them you are saving it for the Red Cross. Unfortunately or fortunately most testing today for almost anything comes through blood analysis. Cholesterol, diabetes, anemia, and many other conditions are remedied through the analysis of blood. Why one needs 8 vials is a question worth asking.
