  1. you could be nice and feed him bones. he's lonely and doesn't like being left alone. kindness goes a long way and he'll love it!

  2. If you can't reason with your neighbour you have no choice other than to involve the authorities in your area.  It is not the dogs fault just another irresponsible owner that gives us all a bad name.  As much as I love dogs it would drive me nuts if my neighbour let his dog behave in this way.

Dogs should compliment our lives not disrupt them!

  3. I absolutely agree with steve b...You can't contol the dog's behaviour, The neighbors are responsible for that and aren't doing their job. - They need to be made aware by authority (an anonymous call to the police by you?).

I have a "new" puppy, also, and when I can't be home to discipline him, we cage him in his crate inside. It keeps HIM safe, our property safe, him quiet (no outside distractions to cause excessive barking), and he won't pee in his "quarters". - It's a win-win situation. :)...That is the best solution, IMO, for owners that can't be present all the time.

But, I think having an officer of the law tellng the neighbors their "options", will cause them to HAVE to be compliant, or lose the dog. - Hopefully, problem solved.

  4. hi,

Just as human language is multifaceted and multipurpose, barking allows a dog to communicate many different messages in a variety of situations. It can signal a request to an owner ("Hey, I want to go outside!"), impart a warning ("You're in my territory!"), or simply serve to amuse when a dog has little else to do.

  5. he cant bark if he dead, just saying.

  6. If you want to buy an outdoor bark deterrent, I guess it depends on how much you are willing to spend:

Or, maybe you can convince your neighbors to use an anti-bark collar.  Also, you can give them some info on how to get their puppy from barking while they are away.  Here is a website that helps you to get your neighbors to control their dog's barking:

    Hope all this helps!
