  1. I have a friend who used them and they were completely accurate. She actually said none of the other ones worked for her and the dollar ones were the only ones that did.

  2. The dollar tree HAS had pregnancy tests. That is the kind I used to find out I was pregnant with my now almost 4 month old.

They are the same as any other test. With the others you're just paying for the brand name.

  3. They may not detect it super early, but they do work.

  4. is everything really a dollar in that place?  What's next? $1 cigarettes and malt liquor?

  5. Yes, they do. I have a few friends who used them and got very accurate results. I just purchased one and I'm going to use it tomorrow morning.

    Good luck!

  6. Yes they are accurate. I tried three of them & two from a drug store. They were accurate.

  7. They have had them for a long time where I live. I used them and they were accurate.

  8. They are supposed to be very accurate.  I did not get my pregnancy tests at the dollar store, I got them cheaper.  I always would buy a pack of 20 for like .80 cents a piece

    http://www.early-pregnancy-tests.com

The strips are cheapest.  These are more sensitive than most OTC tests.  It gives the sensitivity of some other popular tests, some aren't sensitive till a level of 100.  They test to a level of 20 hcg, anything over 25 hcg is considered a positive result so these are the most sensitive that you can get.

  9. When you're married, you can wait about 1 month and then you'll know.  But, if you can't wait to hear the good news, then I'd go to a drug store.

  10. i don't think so!

the 99 cent only store also sells condoms.

    i wouldn't try it.

    haha!

  11. If you knew the science of how a pregnancy test works, you wouldn't be asking this question. A test works the same as any other test. What you pay for is the brand and the big digital read out. And the dollar store has always sold pregnancy tests.

  12. www.peeonastick.com

rates all the different HPT tests.

I believe the dollar store ones are rated well.

No HPT is likely to give you a false positive.. it is just how sensitive they are.. or how early they can give you a real positive.

  13. Well, this is what I would do...there just a dollar? Well, I'd buy at least 5. I'd give one to everyone in my house. My husband & his buddy visiting, my kid, the dog...lol, and myself. If we all come out pregnant....oh, well, it's not worth the dollar I spent. But if everybody comes out negative & I'm positive....congrat's to me!

    Good luck & God Bless......

  14. I've had many many friends test positive with them (as far back as 7 years ago).  Let's face it the drug companies don't really want us to know how incredibly cheap it is to make them ( not early ones) because they make so much money out of them!

If you have the money I would suggest buy one of each and test on the day of your missed period and judge for yourself!

    Good Luck and babydust

  15. i did. i worked in a diagnostic lab before i took leave and i p**s tested people ALL DAY and we used the same litmus strip thats in ALL pregnancy tests. so when i had to take a pregnancy test, i opted out of spending 20 bucks on one from target. and guess what. it was right, im pregnant. theyre all the same, anyone who says different doesnt know whats actually inside of a pregnancy test. its a little strip of paper, that changes color with the hormones in your urine. The reaction on that paper, will make the packaging turn out a line, a double line or a digital "pregnant" its all the same.

  16. just because you got your period...does not mean you are not pregnant. a friend of mine had her period the whoIe nine months, onIy gained about 5 pounds, was very active and had no idea she was even pregnant untiI she went into the hospitaI with "stomach pains" which turned out to be Iabor! so don't Iet the period thing fooI you! but dont trust a test from a doIIar store either!

  17. probably not very

  18. actually they do work.....i'm walking proof haha. and so is my sister, we both took one after we knew we were already pregnant, to check to see if it worked.

    it does:)

  19. accurate enough to give me a BIG FAT POSITIVE with my 2nd daughter while 4-5 weeks pregnant with her :)  lol

They may not be as good as the first response EARLY early tests but I'm sure they are right up there with the regular ones.  And hey, it's worth a shot before you go buy the more expensive tests since you'd only be out of $1 kwim?

  20. there are a few things that are just worth spending the full amount on. Like sushi. And pregnancy tests.

  21. The ones at the dollar store are actually one of the most accurate on the market.

  22. Usually they but close-out merchandise, so there may just be a printing error or some other insignificant reason for the product being in a dollar store.

  23. they are perfectly safe to use and accuarate. the brand is just cheap.

  24. ive taken 3 all negative.. first response said negative is well, im 16 days PO so lets just see eh. i think they are okay, donno bout the dropper thing though,.

  25. They are just as accurate as the more expensive brands.  I used them with 2 of my pregnancies.

  26. The Dollar Tree has had pregnancy tests for quite some time now.  They are just as reliable as the more expensive brands, and actually more sensitive than some of those more expensive brands.

The only thing they lack is the expensive marketing.  I have used them, have never gotten a false positive and got a positive when I was indeed pregnant.  I would recommend them.
