The door of my Kitchen Aid Microwave YKCMS1555RSS wouldn't open because the plastic prods that push open the latch had worn down. The oven was otherwise functional. I inserted some plastic k***s to extend the prods and that did the trick. When I reassembled the oven, the timer and keypad work and the internal light comes on, but no microwave action, turntable rotation or fan.
