The drivers’ point of view about the Brazilian Grand Prix (Part 4)

The Brazilian Grand Prix has been on the Formula 1 calendar since 1973 and ever since, the track has been known for its versatility and environment.
Michael Schumacher
Michael Schumacher is just happy that this season is finally coming to an end and he is quite impressed with how the drivers have been performing at Interlagos since the past couple of years. Michael stated that his team did not make any major advancement
since the past couple of races but he believes that his team still has the potential to perform better than many teams on the grid. The team has been delivering some promising results since the past couple of races and since Michael was able to deliver his
best performance at the Korean Grand Prix, the German is all pumped up and hopes to take this momentum to the Brazilian Grand Prix.
“Our fighting spirit is good and we would like to finish the season in a positive way. So I am looking forward to going to Sao Paulo and hopefully achieving another result that I can be happy with,” said Michael.
Ross Brawn
Ross Brawn, the team boss for Mercedes believes that Interlagos provides several challenges with its unique location at a higher altitude and bumpier surface as compared to the rest of the tracks and the key to success at the Brazilian grand prix is mainly
the car setup as the engineers have to consider a lot of factors while setting up their cars. Team Mercedes has been performing pretty well since the past couple of races. Therefore, Ross Brawn is hoping for the best and is optimistic that his team will produce
a better package at the Brazilian Grand Prix.
“The Brazilian Grand Prix is always a fantastic occasion and with the intense battle for the world championship, it will be an exciting weekend for the fans at the circuit and watching around the world,” said the team boss of Mercedes.

Norbert Haug
The vice president of Mercedes Benz Motorsport Norbert Haug stated that the past two races were the most exciting two races of this year’s Formula 1 season and with just 2 races remaining, the championship run is getting pretty exciting and the final two
races at Interlagos and Abu Dhabi are going to be epic.
However, the Mercedes GP Petronas team is fully motivated and the team hopes to provide the best possible results that would help the team configure their car for the 2011 season. Mercedes has been finishing behind the World Championship contenders consistently
and the team vows to produce even better results at the final two races.
“At the last race in Korea, we showed better potential with Michael finishing in fourth place and Nico ahead of the eventual second-place finisher Lewis Hamilton, prior to being taken out of the race,” said Norbert.
Everybody in Mercedes is fully motivated and focussed and the team expects a good 2011 season but to ensure that, the team will have to work hard and produce some reliable results at the final two grand prix.
Mercedes hopes to keep the same driver line-up for the 2011 season and with Michael Schumacher more determined than ever, the team hopes to challenge for both titles once again next season and hopefully perform as good as the top running teams in the sport.
Team Mercedes led by Ross Brawn won both drivers and constructors’ titles last year but struggled drastically this year. Nico Rosberg has been performing pretty well this year but the team requires more than just point finishes to show what the team is capable
of if they want to challenge for the grand prize.
