“The drivers should cooperate with each other in the Brazilian Grand Prix”- says Whitmarsh
The racing team McLaren of Formula 1 circuit has announced that the team will equally support its British dynamic duo Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button in the upcoming Formula 1 race at Intergalos racing circuit in Brazil. The team McLaren has also said that
they might reconsider their plans of supporting the drivers after the Brazilian Grand Prix race.
The racing team McLaren had recently announced that it will support the defending champ thirty years old Briton Jenson Button in his struggle for the championship title of the year. But the situation over the point’s table is pretty different, as currently
the chances of Lewis Hamilton are much brighter for the title as compared to Button’s.
In a very recent interview, the chief of the team McLaren Martin Whitmarsh expressed his thoughts and views about the matter while talking to the media. In the interview, Martin admitted the fact that the current condition of Hamilton and Jenson over the
standing’s table shows that Hamilton is in better position to challenge the current leader Fernando Alonso. He says that this is probably the time for Jenson Button to help Lewis Hamilton in the upcoming races, as Hamilton is more likely to challenge the Spanish
veteran rider for the title of the year.
Martin Whitmarsh said that they will consider the situation by checking the conditions over the Brazilian Grand Prix racing circuit.
The current season of the Formula 1 is being considered as one of the best racing seasons ever. Currently the twenty nine years old two times world champion Spaniard Fernando Alonso is leading the point’s chart with two hundred and thirty one points. Alonso
is followed by the Australian veteran racer of the Red Bull racing team Mark Webber with two hundred and twenty points.
Total five drivers are in the hunt for the title of the year with only two races left in the season and fifty more points to be grabbed. The McLaren team’s driver Lewis Hamilton is currently twenty one points adrift of the leader and Jenson Button is twenty
points further behind him.
Martin Whitmarsh said that there are still fifty points to be grabbed in the final two races and this is the best time for the drivers to compete hard to snatch as many points as they can. While talking about the defending champ Jenson Button, Martin Whitmarsh
said that a driver should enter the racing track with motivation and target to win the race and Button should give his best to improve his current position over the points table.
He added that it is good to know the Jenson is still hopeful and motivated for the title and he is very happy about the fact as well. The McLaren team boss said that this is probably the best and the last time for Jenson to show his best and win the upcoming
races for him and for the McLaren team.
In a very recent interview the driver from the Ferrari team, Felipe Massa had expressed that he will support his team-mate Fernando Alonso in the upcoming races of the tournament, as Alonso is in the stronger position to win the championship. Now Lewis Hamilton
is in a stronger position to shorten the point’s gap.
When Martin was asked whether Jenson is going to support Hamilton in the next race or not, the McLaren manager expressed his thoughts and said that both the drivers of the team will try to co-operate with each other during the race and the team will check
the conditions over the track for the further plans for the championship. Whitmarsh added and said that Jenson is a very good fighter and he should enter the circuit of Brazilian Grand Prix to win the race.
